Horse of the Year Show bound!

May and June

Yazmin qualifies Fabian for both Newcomer and Foxhunter Finals at Horse of the Year in October 2008.
In May Fabian qualifield at Southview for Foxhunter and has been 1st, second twice and 6th in all the foxhunter second rounds he has done as well as winning his Newcomer second round at Port Royal and being 2nd in the other one at  Weston Lawns!

July

Yazmin in great form at Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in July….
Yazmin and Fabian were 4th in the JC Final here. They jumped a superb clear in the first round and in the jump off Yazmin made the mistake of turning in the air over the Hickstead gate which made Fabian just clip it behind and so they came home 4th.
Yazmin had qualified her other pony – Drimna Magic Lady who had an unlucky pole in the first round.

Le Mans, France – CSIY/J/P A Show 25-27 July 2008

Yazmin and Zodiac Z jumped their first junior Grand Prix and came 5th.
She was also 6th in the small Grand Prix with Escudos Grafitti.
Edsilia was 2nd in the Pony Grand Prix and Fabian was 4th in the Prix

 

Edsilia is 3rd in the Junior Show Jumper at Port Royal in July and qualifies for HOYS!

Unlucky! - August

Zodiac Z  was 5th in his first Newcomers 2nd Round at Pyecombe – misses out qualification for HOYS by 2 places. Yazmin and ‘Zac’ jumped 3 superb clear rounds to finish 5th on their first attempt at the Newcomers Regional Final. This was good enough for a scope ticket where they can try again.
The combination also came 8th and 10th in they HOYS Grade C at Somerset and Weston Lawns where Yazmin was again the only junior and youngest of the competitors.

Scope Festival Finals – August

Yazmin and both ponies and horses had a brilliant show at Scope this year actually making a profit for the first time!
She contested the young rider classes for the first time with both her horses:

Escudos Grafitti was 2nd in the B& C young rider qualifier and 4th in the Final.

Zodiac Z was 8th in the under 18 Young Rider class and 4th in the Final. He also qualified for the Under 21 Young Rider Final and had an unlucky pole.

Ponies:

Fabian won the 1.20m Star Spotters qualifier and came 2nd in the final.

Drimna Magic Lady was 11th in the 1.15.

Edsilia was 3rd in the JA, 3rd in the A4 and 8th in the Dunglenn Final.

 

Barbizon CSIY/JA International Show September

Yazmin continued her excellent form here at this stunning show in France.
She won leading Junior rider on her horses and was 5th in the Grand Prix on Zodiac Z.
She also came 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th on both her ponies Fabian and Edsilia and her horse Escudos Grafiti in the speed class.
